Job summary

SEARHC, a nonprofit health consortium serving Southeast Alaska, seeks a Patient Registration Specialist to manage patient appointment scheduling, pre-registration and insurance verification, and new patient enrollment in the EHR. You will collaborate with care teams and patients across multiple departments to ensure accurate records and timely access to services.

Position requires at least 1 year in healthcare administration or related field, strong data entry, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year of healthcare, behavioral health, dental, customer service or relevant administrative experience.
• High School Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages scheduling resources for patient appointments.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and pre-authorization requirements.
• Registers new patients and creates profiles in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Handles pre-registration review process for insurance verification for upcoming appointments.
• Coordinates sign-up in the MySEARHC patient portal and maintains quality data input.
