Job summary

Dignity Health - Marian Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Registration Representative to ensure a positive patient experience during registration. You will identify patients, collect accurate demographics, verify insurance, and explain hospital policies and patient rights to families.

Qualifications

• High School graduate and minimum 1 year experience in hospital Patient Registration, physician office, healthcare insurance, revenue cycle roles.
• Strong customer service and data accuracy.
• Ability to verify insurance and discuss financial responsibilities with patients.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately in the ADT system and verify demographics.
• Ensure insurance verification and collect financial liability.
• Explain hospital policies and patient rights; provide required handouts.
• Obtain necessary signatures and scan documents into systems.
• Follow EMTALA-compliant registration steps for ED and Labor & Delivery.
• Assist with billing compliance, referrals, and authorizations.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.
