Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Medical Office or Medical Assistant certificate preferred.
• Experience: Minimum one year in healthcare; bilingual English & Spanish preferred; strong communication and data-entry skills.
• Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology; excellent written and verbal communication; customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and positively identify using dual-factor authentication.
• Assist with transportation needs as appropriate.
• Maintain a clean and professional front office area.
• Uphold customer service expectations in person and via telecommunication (in person, via telephone, or telehealth).
• May travel to support patient care at another GMG location.
• May drive company or personal vehicle; obtain a valid Texas driver's license and proof of insurance for mileage reimbursement.
• Assist with routine questions and refer to Patient Advocates as needed.
• Balance cash and reconcile at end of shift; report discrepancies to leadership.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and follow privacy practices.
• Review insurance information and eligibility; collect co-pays at registration.
• Process registrations, consent forms, and release documents; ensure forms are current.
• Check patients in for appointments in Athena and Med Q.
• Communicate with PODS’s on outlier issues via Ring Central.
