Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Registration Representative to accurately check in patients in the hospital or ED, performing in-person, phone, or virtual registrations with attention to patient safety and proper documentation.

You will verify demographics, collect insurance data, obtain signatures, assist with self-registration, and collect co-payments while adhering to quality assurance guidelines and productivity standards to support the care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively; basic computer/keyboard skills; good written and verbal communication.
• Experience in scheduling systems; HFMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check-in/admissions/registration of patients in hospital or ED; in-person, phone, or virtual registrations.
• Verify demographics, collect insurance data, identify/create accounts, obtain signatures.
• Assist patients with self-registration and collect indicated co-payments and/or share of cost.
• Ensure patient safety using positive patient identification protocols; adhere to QA guidelines and productivity standards.
