Renown Health in Reno seeks an admitting clerk to perform registration, scheduling, order entry and reception across health system sites. You will accelerate patient access by accurately gathering demographic, insurance and financial information and by documenting it in our systems.

Key duties include verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining authorizations, entering charge orders and collecting patient financial obligations.

Qualificações

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months admitting, medical claims processing, or customer service experience with financial interaction required or preferred.
• Experience with Windows OS, SMS InVision, Internet and SMS IMS Document Imaging preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Word) and ability to use online learning resources.

Responsabilidades

• Perform registration, scheduling, order entry and reception across admitting sites.
• Gather demographic, insurance, clinical and financial information accurately.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations within required timeframes.
• Identify and collect patient financial obligations (co-pays, deductibles, etc.).
• Enter charge orders and determine estimated costs for services.
