Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance benefits.
• Obtain and document required demographic and billing information.
• Obtain pre-certification for outpatient testing.
• Schedule appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.
• Explain financial responsibilities and collect payments.
• Counsel patients regarding insurance benefits and alternative payment options.
• Assist with patient movement within the department as needed.
• Answer internal and external calls and provide patient information per policy.
