Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year in patient registration, scheduling, or customer service in healthcare.
• Knowledge of health insurance, medical terminology and anatomy.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and ability to operate office machines.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients, collects data for pre-registration and registration.
• Interacts with patients, representatives, employers and others in person or by phone.
• Reviews and records data in the hospital system and verifies insurance coverage.
