Job summary

Nicklaushealth is seeking a Clerical/Administrative Registrar for the ED & FRACTURE CLINIC to greet patients, collect demographics, insurance and payment information, and register for services. This role interfaces with LifeFlight and admitting teams to coordinate admissions and transfers.

The position requires one year of customer service, basic software skills (Word/Excel/Outlook), and preferred Spanish language ability.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience.
• High School education or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology, procedures, and insurance preferred.
• Spanish language ability strongly preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families in person or on the phone.
• Obtains demographic, insurance, financial, and medical information to schedule or register patients.
• Verifies insurance information and obtains necessary authorizations.
• Documents all activities in the system and coordinates with departments as needed.
• Schedules Health System services and assists with patient transfers/admissions.
• Collects payments and provides receipts.
