Job summary

Valleywise Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients, register them accurately, verify insurance information, and collect payments when appropriate. You will help ensure a smooth check-in process and accurate medical records.

Under the supervision of the Manager of Patient Access, you will handle demographic data, insurance verification, AHCCCS verifications for self-pay patients, and collaboration with clinic teams to maintain efficient operations across the network.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of clerical, customer service, or medical experience.
• Valid fingerprint clearance card or willingness to obtain.
• Excellent data entry skills (10-key by touch, 30 wpm).
• Ability to travel to clinics across the system.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and register patients with excellent customer service.
• Obtain and validate demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and payer information.
• Collect payments when appropriate.
• Complete required paperwork for appointments.
• Process AHCCCS verifications for self-pay or unknown payer.
• Identify and resolve registration or account issues.
• Collaborate with leaders and teams for efficient patient experience.
• Balance multiple responsibilities with accuracy.
