You'll help create a positive experience by ensuring patients are registered accurately, insurance information is verified, and important financial and administrative details are handled with care.

What You'll Do
Under the direction of the Manager of Patient Access, you will:
Welcome and register patients while providing excellent customer service.
Obtain and validate demographic and insurance information to maintain accurate patient records.
Verify insurance eligibility and payer information.
Collect payments and monies owed when appropriate.
Complete required paperwork for patient appointments accurately and on time.
Process AHCCCS verifications for self-pay patients or when a payer source cannot be verified.
Identify and help resolve registration or account issues that could impact billing and reimbursement.
Collaborate with leaders and team members to provide an efficient, seamless patient experience.
Balance multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Hourly Pay Rate: $18.24 - $26.90
Qualifications
Education:
Requires a high school diploma or GED certificate.
Experience:
Requires one to two (1–2) years of general clerical, customer service, or medical experience, preferably in a healthcare environment involving data reconciliation.
Certification/Licensure:
Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at thetime of hire. Must complete a fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of the hire date. Must present theactual card within 90 days of applying for afingerprint clearance card.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have the ability to travel to clinics throughout the system based on staffing needs.
Requires excellent data entry skills, including 10-key by touch and accurate typing of30 words per minute.
Basic Math Skills arerequired.
Must be able to demonstrate obtaining and validating demographic information to accurately and timely complete the patient’s medical record.
Must possess good verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills, including basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation knowledge.
Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
Critical thinking skills are strongly preferred.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
