Sanford Health seeks a Patient Access Representative to handle patient registration and scheduling in a busy medical office setting. Responsibilities include greeting patients, verifying demographics, creating electronic files, and collecting payments.

The role supports referrals, pre-authorizations, and coordination with nursing staff to meet patient needs. Hours are typically 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with an 8-hour day.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education helpful.
• One year of work experience in a medical office.
• Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential.
• BLS may be required in some locations.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and verify demographics to register and/or schedule.
• Create electronic files; provide, scan and route necessary forms.
• Collect co-payments, pre-payments, and payments on account balances.
• Coordinate referrals, pre-authorization, and enrollment in additional resources.
• Operate multi-line phones and support scheduling and check-in/out processes.
