Job summary

El Camino Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative to be the focal point for scheduling and registration. You will coordinate patient and provider schedules, verify eligibility, collect co-pays where appropriate, and explain out-of-pocket responsibilities with a patient-friendly approach.

The role supports a collaborative hospital team, handles multi-application workflows, and aims to deliver a positive, efficient patient experience throughout the visit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required, Associate degree preferred.
• Two (2) years medical office or medical insurance experience.
• Clear, courteous and pleasant communication skills with strong grammar and tone.
• Excellent customer service skills and multitasking ability.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and multiple applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and register patients by telephone or in person.
• Verify eligibility, benefits and collecting co-pays where applicable.
• Communicate patient financial responsibilities in a clear manner.
• Handle scheduling, registration and customer service duties for appointments.
• Assist with referrals and patient flow to optimize provider schedules.
