Job summary

Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Patient Registration Representative to ensure a positive patient experience during registration and to collect accurate demographics, verify insurance, and explain hospital policies to families.

You will enter demographic data into the ADT system, identify patients to avoid duplicate records, and review accounts for accuracy while ensuring compliance with CMS requirements and hospital procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Education and/or training can balance lack of experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience in hospital Patient Registration or related revenue cycle roles.
• Experience in requesting and processing financial payments.
• Fire safety within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and colleagues with a positive customer service approach.
• Collect accurate demographics, verify insurance and explain policies and patient rights.
• Enter demographic information into the ADT system accurately and timely.
• Identify patients to prevent duplicate medical record numbers.
• Review accounts for accuracy and required documentation.
• Meet CMS billing requirements and document completion in the system for compliance.
• Enter required data into the ADT system with emphasis on accuracy for reimbursement.
