Job summary

Cherry Health in Michigan is seeking a Specialist, Patient Registration to serve as the first point of contact for patients and the public, handling scheduling, insurance eligibility, billing, and patient inquiries. This full-time, on-site role supports the Montcalm Area Health Center and may require occasional Saturdays and travel to other Cherry Health clinics.

Ideal candidates have excellent communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred.
• Experience in healthcare settings and with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
• Strong communication, confidentiality and HIPAA adherence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and office equipment; bilingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Open registration area and ensure phones operate during hours.
• Greet patients, collect documentation, verify insurance eligibility, and obtain signatures.
• Enter patient information accurately and process payments and billing.
• Schedule and confirm appointments following scheduling guidelines.
• Assist with data reporting and maintain records and inventory.
