Job summary

Great Bend Hospital is seeking a Patient Registration Representative to handle inpatient and outpatient registrations, collecting accurate demographics and insurance information to secure patient encounters. You will also manage POS collections and maintain a professional image and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, verifying data in the system, balancing cash drawers, and ensuring consent and insurance forms are completed accurately.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Clerical, registration and/or customer service experience in health care preferred.
• Knowledge of coding information (ICD-9, Rev Codes, CPT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register inpatients and outpatients with accurate demographics and insurance data.
• Collect co-payments and balance cash drawer at day’s end.
• Explain policies and obtain consent and insurance forms.
• Maintain secure handling of patient valuables and inventory.
