Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System Heart Center is seeking a Part‑Time Patient Registration Representative. This role handles inpatient and outpatient registrations, collects demographic and insurance information, and secures patient encounters with a strong focus on service excellence.

Responsibilities include POS collections, cash balancing, clear documentation, and accurate data entry in the electronic system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in clerical, registration and/or customer service in health care preferred.
• Knowledge of patient demographics, insurance information and POS collections is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Register inpatient and outpatient patients and obtain accurate patient demographics and insurance information.
• Balance cash drawer and handle co-payments as required.
• Explain facility policies and obtain signed consent and insurance forms.
• Input patient data into the computer system with accurate spelling.
• Greet patients and relatives and verify information during interviews.
• Maintain knowledge of administrative policies and department procedures.
