Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year experience in patient registration preferred.
• One year experience with health insurance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Entering patient demographic and insurance information accurately.
• Primary contact between patients and medical personnel.
• Greet patients on arrival with a friendly demeanor.
• Confirm insurance eligibility.
• Collect co-pays and balances due at registration.
• Reconcile payments at end of each shift.
• Address accounts past due at time of registration.
• Answer incoming phone calls and forward as needed.
• Interpret billing statements.
• Participate in trainings and staff meetings.
• Fax/email confirmed lab results to appropriate parties.
• Set up installment payment plans.
• Maintain clean work environment.
