Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-focused industry or healthcare environment preferred.
• Knowledge of patient registration processes and payer sources.
• Familiar with computer-based billing, patient accounts, and registration systems.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to gather demographic and insurance information to register them in the system.
• Establish and maintain patient medical records.
• Provide information on rights, notices, and benefit assignments as directed.
• Obtain authorizations and referrals from insurance companies as needed.
• Identify financial responsibilities and assist with payments and billing questions.
• Act as liaison between patients and healthcare staff.
• Explain policies and refer patients to appropriate services.
• Uphold HIPAA privacy and confidentiality requirements.
• Support organizational mission and comply with policies.
