Job summary

Southern Illinois Healthcare is seeking a Registration Specialist to facilitate the patient registration process across our system. You will interview incoming patients, review pre-registration data, and verify insurance while collecting payments as needed to keep the patient flow efficient and accurate.

The role supports physicians and patients by ensuring proper data capture at the point of care. Responsibilities include following established registration policies, obtaining necessary

Qualifications

• Follows registration policy and procedures to accurately identify patient and insurances, obtain required signatures where applicable.
• Accurately screens ABNs to determine medical necessity and explains ABN to patient, obtaining signatures and reviewing for completeness.

Responsibilities

• Interview incoming patients and review pre-registration information.
• Enter registration information and verify insurance details.
• Collect payments as required and balance cash/credit card transactions daily.
• Provide point of service assistance to service lines to move patients through the system for appropriate care.
• QA daily registrations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
