Job summary

Lifepoint Health, Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to support daily Patient Access operations and perform Registration Clerk duties. This role reports to the Patient Access Supervisor and is non-exempt under FLSA.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong critical thinking, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a busy health system environment. You will handle patient data, verify insurance, collect payments, and support lobby operations.

Responsibilities

• Foster positive work relationships with co-workers and adapt to changing demands.
• Enter demographic, billing, and clinical information accurately and on time into the registration system.
• Distribute and explain forms and educational handouts to patients or family members.
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain precertification/authorization as needed.
• Determine and collect payments (co-pays/deductibles) or refer to financial counselors.
• Maintain lobby and Registration wait times under target levels.
• Assist with daily cash deposits and department reports.
