Qualifications

• Register patient demographics and insurance information for outpatient services.
• Collect insurance, co-pays, and deductibles at Point of Service.
• Expedite the registration process while providing a positive first impression.

Responsibilities

• Ensure demographic, billing, and clinical information is entered accurately.
• Distribute and explain forms and educational handouts to patients or families.
• Meet with patient or caregiver to exchange information and address questions.
• Communicate with admitting physician's office and nursing staff regarding admission.
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain precertification/authorization as needed.
