Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Chino Valley Medical Center is seeking a Patient Account Registrar to interview patients, collect demographics, insurance details, and obtain required authorizations. The role partners with the Admitting team to ensure accurate data entry and smooth patient flow in evenings.

Ideal candidates have hospital experience, strong medical terminology knowledge, and excellent communication. The position offers full-time hours, evening shifts, competitive pay, and a benefits package

Qualifications

• Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer Services experience required.
• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews the patient or representative to obtain demographics.
• Secures insurance information, eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicable.
• Works with the Admitting department including PBX operator function and reception areas.
• Input and retrieve data on a computer with accuracy.
• Communicates with patients using age-appropriate language.
• Maintains proficiency in medical terminology and participates in special projects.
