Responsibilities

• Interview patient or representative to obtain demographics and insurance information.
• Secure eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicable.
• Coordinate with Admitting department including PBX and reception.
• Operate computer to input and retrieve data.
• Communicate with patients across age groups using appropriate terminology.
• Maintain proficiency in medical terminology and complete special projects as assigned.
