Job summary

Marshall Medical Center is seeking a Referral & Scheduling Coordinator to manage appointment scheduling and referral workflows across outpatient clinics. You will collaborate with physician offices, patients and insurance providers to ensure timely referrals and efficient resource use.

The role requires strong communication, organization and customer service skills, with EMR experience preferred. Local scheduling and coordination are essential for maintaining smooth patient care and service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with automated scheduling and/or referral functions preferred.
• Knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, and private health insurance policies.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate referrals and outpatient appointments.
• Facilitate fast and efficient referral process across clinics.
• Coordinate patient needs and department resources with staff, providers and patients.
• Communicate with patients, families, insurers and care teams to support service quality.
