Job summary

OSS Health is seeking a Quality Assurance Auditor to perform manual and system-driven inspections across Patient Access, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations. This full-time role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

You will prepare reports for the Patient Access Quality and Education Supervisor, assist in staff training, and support staffing and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years hospital or medical office experience in Patient Access.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and process improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication required.
  • Ability to question current processes and implement improvements.
  • Proficient with OSS Health systems; Medent or CPSI experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare billing regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Completes quality assurance inspections as required, ensuring standardization and compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for the completion of manual and system- driven inspections aimed at measuring Quality Assurance across all Patient Access functions. The auditor has responsibility for preparing reports to communicate results and findings to the Patient Access Quality and Education Supervisor.


SCHEDULE:

FT, 40 hours per week - Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Completes quality assurance inspections as required, ensuring standardization and compliance with established policies and procedures and applicable regulations.

  • Understands policies and procedures and utilizes them for daily QA duties.

  • Assists in training and performance improvements in the evaluation of quality assessment outcomes to improve individual and team performance.

  • Provides monitoring and feedback to QA Coordinator.

  • Cross trains in all areas of Patient Access Department to develop a knowledge base to benefit the education program.

  • Able to assist in staffing as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION:


  • High school diploma or its equivalent.


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • A minimum of two years Hospital or medical office experience in Patient Access areas. Billing and Revenue knowledge a plus.

  • Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and be motivated and enthusiastic with an exceptional eye for detail and process improvement.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Ability to speak up and challenge current processes, identify improvement opportunities and carry them through execution.

  • Must be detail oriented and have a strong ability to detect errors and discrepancies.

  • Must have proficient computer skills and be able to use the various systems utilized by OSS Health. Previous experience with Medent or CPSI a plus.

  • Must have the ability to work efficiently, independently and prioritize tasks.

  • Must understand the procedures associated with a variety of health insurance plans.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare billing regulatory and compliance requirements.
