Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Experience in customer service, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience with Epic EHR is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors courteously.
• Verify patient demographics, financial and insurance information.
• Register and schedule patients for appointments and tests.
• Collect co-pays and balances; complete end-of-day balance process.
• Provide information on financial assistance and payment plans.
• Explain and obtain signatures on consent forms and disclosures.
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with staff to maintain smooth patient flow.
• Document and update patient records in the EHR.
• Follow up on pending items like prior authorizations and referrals.
