Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Patient Access Representative II to greet patients, register visits, verify insurance, and collect co-pays in a hospital-based front desk setting.

You'll work under supervision, support operations, and may travel to on- and off-campus locations. Internal applicants require six months' related experience; external applicants need EPIC registration experience. AIDET training is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Internal applicants require 6 months as Patient Access Representative I or CSA I; External applicants require 6 months in EPIC environment.
• Customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Familiarity with registration workflows and policy guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-register/register patients for scheduled or unscheduled services in hospital-based areas.
• Interview patients or representatives to obtain demographics and insurance information.
• Collect insurance information and verify coverage; document in the registration system.
• Obtain IDs and insurance cards as needed and ensure accurate patient data.
