Job summary

The position includes a weekend standby rotation for Emergency Department coverage, with variable hours and a focus on accurate, timely patient access processes. Prior customer service and healthcare exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
• Knowledge of revenue cycle components and impact on patient care.
• Typing 45 WPM and basic Windows skills.
• Ability to verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorization.
• Analytical and detail‑oriented approach.
• Ability to multi‑task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and collect demographics.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorization.
• Provide financial information, price estimates and collect payments.
• Schedule appointments and communicate information to multiple facilities.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow established processes.
• Assist patients with forms and accurate data entry.
