Responsibilities

• Greet patients in person or by phone and schedule services with the appropriate provider, location, and time.
• Analyze patient information to create or update accounts for services (walk-ins, non-scheduled, or emergency).
• Register patients with accurate demographics, financial class, and insurance details; revise errors.
• Assist with bed placement, transfer, or discharge requests from clinical staff when needed.
• Explain financial obligations, set up payment arrangements, and coordinate financial assistance as required.
• Complete registration and admissions paperwork accurately and gather required documents.
• Scan and attach ID, insurance cards, orders, and authorization information to patient records.
• Perform insurance verification at point of service to ensure active coverage.
• Coordinate with case management or providers for appropriate department placement.
