Job summary

Samaritan in Moses Lake, WA seeks an experienced Pre-Service Operations Manager to oversee patient access functions, including scheduling, financial clearance, pre-registration and prior authorization. This full-time onsite role may hybrid after onboarding.

You will lead cross-functional teams, improve workflows, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with Revenue Cycle and Clinical departments to enhance patient experiences and financial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Information Management, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of healthcare patient access, revenue cycle, or related operations.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience leading remote or hybrid teams preferred.
• Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pre-service operations including scheduling, financial clearance, insurance verification, pre-registration, and prior authorization.
• Monitor access center metrics: average speed of answer, call abandonment rate, hold times, first-call resolution, scheduling accuracy.
• Lead financial clearance—insurance education, patient cost estimates, financial counseling, and payment plan discussions.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and collaboration with clinical and revenue cycle departments to support patient experiences and better financial outcomes.
