Job summary

Samaritan is seeking a Laboratory Office Assistant in Moses Lake, WA. The role involves greeting clients, scheduling appointments, handling physician orders, and managing LIS data. Experience with EPIC, ICD, and CPT4 codes is preferred, along with basic MS Word/Excel skills.

The position requires maintaining billing accuracy, assisting with form completion, and supporting daily lab operations on a day shift, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Two (2) years of hospital experience as an office assistant preferred.
• Skills/Competencies: Two (2) years of experience with computer programs (MS Word, Excel) preferred.
• Prior EPIC experience and familiarity with ICD and CPT4 codes preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and schedule appointments.
• Enter physician orders and retrieve test results from the LIS.
• Assist with billing by filing reports and entering charges; monitor billing codes.
• Maintain LIS and assist with billing compliance/audits.
• Train hospital laboratory staff on EPIC usage.
• Assist with general office tasks and patient forms.
