Job summary

Providence is seeking a Patient Admissions Coordinator to manage on-site registration, verify demographics and insurance, and secure financial clearance for all patient visits. The role requires professional patient interaction and strict adherence to regulatory guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include collecting patient information, assisting with both scheduled and unscheduled visits, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
• At least 3 years of Patient Access experience in a business office setting.
• Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
• 3 years using medical terminology in a job setting.
• Knowledge of medical billing codes (CPT/ICD).
• 1 year of Epic Applications experience.
• Understanding of Medicare Secondary Payor, EMTALA and ABN.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during on-site registration and arrival.
• Complete financial clearance for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
• Collect demographic information, insurance details and patient liability at the time of service.
• Greet patients professionally and maintain compliant documentation.
