Qualifications

• Good math skills and typing proficiency.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient intake with accuracy and updates demographics and financial info.
• Verifies benefits eligibility and coordinates payer requirements.
• Collects patient financial responsibility at point of service.
• Reads and documents chart notes; ensures data is current.
• Explains information to patients and obtains signatures.
• Scans IDs, insurance cards, and documents to accounts.
• Maintains proficiency with registration systems and devices.
• Pre-certification/pre-authorization documentation collected.
• Reviews charts from prior shifts for accuracy.
• Complies with HIPAA and codes (CPT/ICD).
• Assist with precertification and authorizations as needed.
