Job summary

The Hughston Clinic is seeking a Patient Access Representative to handle pre-registration and registration tasks, verify benefits, and collect patient payments at the point of service. You will ensure accurate data entry and HIPAA compliance while interacting with patients, families, healthcare providers, and staff.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, prior hospital/medical office experience, and strong math and typing skills.

Qualifications

• Previous office experience in a hospital or medical office, patient access or financial services preferred.
• Good math skills and typing proficiency.
• Certified Patient Accounts Representative (CPAR) or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all elements of the patient intake process with accuracy.
• Identifies and verifies benefits and coordinates with payer requirements.
• Collects patient financial responsibility at point of service and provides receipts.
• Reads and documents notes on each account; ensures data entry accuracy.
• Maintains proficiency in 사용하는 systems and devices for Patient Access tasks.
• Responds to emails and performs general clerical duties in the Patient Access Office.
