Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Manager to lead daily access operations across two Texas locations (Aubrey and Champions Circle). You will oversee medical records management, patient nutrition services coordination with a dietician, and ensure compliance with EMTALA, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.

Strong leadership and insurance verification experience required. The role requires at least five years in patient registration, two years of supervisory experience, and

Qualifications

• Minimum five years patient registration and insurance verification in a health care setting.
• Minimum two years supervisory experience in healthcare; indirect leadership considered if a direct fit.
• Emergency Department registration experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PPO, POS, HMO, Medicare, and Medicaid payors.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology.
• Knowledge or experience using EMR.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily patient access operations and site-specific medical records management.
• Oversee dietary operations in collaboration with the registered dietician.
• Maintain compliance with EMTALA, DNV, HIPAA and regulations affecting admissions.
• Direct registration areas to ensure quality, productivity and customer service.
• Ensure accuracy of daily registrations and collect payments with cash reconciliation.
• Prepare deposits, schedules and payroll to fit budget and FTEs.
• Train and supervise patient access team members; ensure policies are followed.
• Coordinate with regional and corporate partners on special projects.
• Provide education on point-of-service collections and keep wait times low.
• Perform patient registrations when needed and manage office supplies.
