Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky seeks a Patient Access Coordinator to manage front desk activities in the medical office, greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, and assist with registration and financial counseling.

You will schedule appointments, manage patient flow, handle switchboard duties, and support medical records management while upholding exceptional customer service and fiduciary responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer skills required.
• Clerical experience in the medical office setting preferred.
• Other education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors at the point of service.
• Verify patients’ demographic and insurance information.
• Register patients and obtain necessary signatures.
• Determine out-of-pocket expense and collect payments or provide financial counseling as appropriate.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Handle switchboard and medical records management.
• Maintain accuracy and high level of customer service in all interactions.
