Job summary

Sunrise Community Health Center in Evans, CO is hiring a Patient Access / Medical Assistant to handle administrative and clinical duties at Monfort Family Clinic. The role includes managing provider schedules, patient access, appointment coordination, and communication with patients in the HER system.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, CMA certification preferred, and 3–4 years of related experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; on-site work at the Evans clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CMA certification preferred.
• Three to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate’s degree (AA) in Medical Staff Services Management preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs administrative and clinical duties under supervision.
• Manages provider schedules and access to patients; schedules, reschedules, and cancels appointments.
• Answers and screens phone calls; schedules patient appointments in the HER system.
• Collaborates with medical, front desk, providers and staff to promote access to care.
• Develops relationships with colleagues across departments and supports clinic flow.
• Maintains and follows up on appointment schedules when cancellations occur.
• Notifies departments of schedule changes and emergencies.
• Outreaches to patients for scheduling and follow-up.
