Job summary

Sunrise Community Health is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant - Certified at the Monfort Family Clinic in Evans, CO. This 20-hours-per-week role supports both administrative and clinical duties under supervision, including scheduling, recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and assisting with procedures while maintaining the EHR and clinic flow.

Ideal candidates hold Medical Assistant Certification, a high school diploma or GED, 0–2 years of related

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification required.
• 0-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide proper triage for patients.
• Assist medical providers with procedures.
• Monitor, maintain, and provide appropriate follow-up flags and phone notes in EHR desktop.
• Record patient medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
• Stock exam rooms to maintain par levels.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Collect blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, log specimens, and prepare them for testing.
