Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago is seeking an experienced Manager, Patient Access to lead ED Revenue Cycle, pre-arrival, registration and financial clearance operations. You will supervise Supervisors and Registration staff, align processes with hospital goals, and drive quality and efficiency across patient intake functions.

Responsibilities include policy development, interdepartmental liaison duties, and staffing coordination across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assist Director of Patient Access in creating policies for registration, admission and financial clearance.
• Maintain open communication with ancillary departments and act as liaison between Patient Access and internal customers.
• Support supervisors with personnel issues, performance assessments and staffing.
• Educate and train supervisors on Revenue Cycle and Patient Access policies; monitor compliance.
• Ensure adequate staff coverage for ED Revenue Cycle and related desks; address shortages with team supervisor.
• Promote customer service and quality in Patient Access and participate in improvement projects.
