Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is seeking a Patient Access Manager to assist the Director in daily operations of all Patient Access functions and to serve as a liaison between the Shared Service Center and the facility. You will integrate the department’s services with the hospital’s primary functions and help implement policies and procedures to guide service.

You will also review department performance, ensure staff orientation and ongoing education, participate in outside services selection,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required; equivalent work experience may substitute education requirements.
• Minimum three years’ experience in related area with two of these years being healthcare management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in daily operations of all Patient Access functions and serve as liaison between the Shared Service Center and the facility.
• Integrate department services with the hospital’s primary functions and develop/implement policies and procedures.
• Assess and improve department performance and ensure orientation and continuing education of staff.
• Participate in selection of outside services and promote the SSC's value to customers.
• Interview, hire, evaluate, and counsel Patient Access staff members.
