Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a hospital or medical business office setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments and enters required information in the computer system.
• Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information from patient or guarantor.
• Explains all required forms to the patient or guarantor and obtains signatures.
• Ensures medical necessity compliance by obtaining data and communicating with patients.
• Protects financial integrity by collecting patient liability and arranging payments.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits and ensures notifications
• Posts payments in the computer system and generates receipts.
• Monitors and resolves patient account issues; performs trend analysis.
• Leads daily processes, schedules staff, and assists in onboarding.
• Communicates professionally with physicians, care management, and staff; documents thoroughly.
