Job summary

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in a hospital or medical business office setting.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient typing/keyboard skills; supervisory/leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments and enters information accurately.
• Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information from patient or guarantor.
• Enters data in the computer system with a high degree of accuracy.
• Explains required forms to patients and obtains signatures.
• Ensures medical necessity compliance by collecting data and obtaining signatures.
• Posts payments and generates patient receipts; monitors account issues.
• Provides complex financial counseling and reviews charity applications.
• Identifies alternative resources for financial reimbursement.
