Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in patient registration.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage workflow.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily functions of the designated work area and lead staff.
• Provide direction and support to staff; escalate issues to management as needed.
• Ensure precertification requirements are met and update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Verify insurance benefits with carriers and assist with reimbursement issues.
• Monitor patient flow, adjust staffing as needed, and support the billing process.
• Train new staff and orient to department procedures; communicate with clinical staff.
