Job summary

UPMC is hiring a full-time Supervisor to lead the Patient Access staff at UPMC Passavant Cranberry Hospital and assist at Passavant McCandless. The role requires managing diverse shifts (day, evening, overnight) and covering weekends and holidays as needed to maintain staffing levels, with primary evenings 12:00pm–8:30pm, Monday through Friday.

You will supervise operations, ensure data integrity, quality service, and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

Oversee 24/7 operations of the on-site Arrival staff, including on-call coverage and managing vacant shifts.
Complete department scheduling, weekly time/attendance and monitor PTO requests to ensure staffing coverage.
Manage overtime within budgetary requirements.
Participate in new associate interviews and hiring processes with Talent Acquisition.
Develop and update work-specific procedural and policy documentation.
Follow up on customer complaints and ensure corrective action for long-term solutions.
Foster growth and development of associates; act as coach, mentor and team builder.
Provide on-call support to staff for problems and staffing concerns.
Coordinate with clinical and non-clinical departments to maintain data integrity.
Represent department in the absence of the manager and make decisions within delegated authority.
Train new associates and provide ongoing education and communication to staff.
Ensure 100% compliance with uLearn requirements and assess staff competencies.
