Job summary

AdventHealth in Columbus, NC seeks a PRN Night-Weekend Patient Access professional to support Medicare compliance reviews, estimate patient financial responsibility, and coordinate with insurers for pre-authorizations. You will register patients, gather demographics, and ensure accurate billing while maintaining excellent customer service.

The role requires knowledge of EMR systems, bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and experience in revenue cycle or customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Experience in healthcare or revenue cycle preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Certified CHAA or CRCR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs Medicare compliance reviews and issues ABNs as needed.
• Creates accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collects payments or establishes payment plans.
• Coordinates with utilization management for pre-authorization issues and provides necessary information to patients.
• Contacts insurance companies to verify eligibility and benefits and obtains pre-authorizations.
• Registers patients for services with accuracy and minimal duplicate records.
• Collects demographic and insurance details from patients.
