Indiana University Health, Inc. is seeking a patient‑focused Front Desk Specialist to join our Indianapolis clinics. You will welcome patients, collect information, and verify insurance details, ensuring accurate registrations and scheduling.

Ideal candidates have 0-3 years of customer service or medical office experience, and basic MS Office skills. This full-time, on-site role offers growth opportunities within a leading healthcare system.

Competenze

High School Diploma or GED required.
0-3 years customer service/medical experience preferred.
Minimum one-year medical office experience or related experience with insurance verification.
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, TEAMS).

Mansioni

Oversee patient flow from entry to destination and ensure timely, accurate service.
Accurate and timely resolution of patient accounts.
Collect information to generate complete patient records.
Insurance verification, prior authorization, and coordination of benefits.
Communicate with payers and patients to confirm financial information.
Accurate patient registration and scheduling of recurring appointments.
Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately.
Participate in department operations and performance improvements.
Comply with infection control, training, regulatory standards and safety programs.
Order, distribute, and maintain department supplies.
Meet productivity, quality, and service standards.
