Job summary

Southcoast Health in New Bedford, MA is seeking a Patient Access Representative-Imaging to support accurate billing and efficient patient flow at St. Luke's Hospital.

You will perform registration, scheduling, co-pay collection, and image access functions as part of the film library. The ideal candidate has an associate degree, a Medical Terminology certificate (preferred), strong customer service, and solid computer skills with EMR familiarity.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree plus film library training or equivalent.
• Medical Terminology Certificate preferred.
• Excellent customer service and telephone skills required.
• Strong computer skills and EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform all patient access duties to facilitate appropriate billing and optimal reimbursement.
• Transcribe orders, schedule appointments, advanced registration, co-pay collection, and manage work lists and queues.
• Handle a wide range of reception duties including image access functions as part of the film library.
