Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Front Desk Representative to ensure smooth patient flow by handling greetings, phones, scheduling, registration, and verification tasks. You will support providers and staff with clerical duties and billing-related activities in a fast-paced primary care setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with college coursework in medical sciences or secretarial studies preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework in medical sciences or secretarial studies preferred.
• 1+ year experience in a medical office or billing department preferred.
• Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent keyboard skills and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Answers phones timely and routes calls to the appropriate staff.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols.
• Handles patient registration, insurance verification, and copay collections.
• Manages pre-certifications, prior authorizations, referrals, and chart prep.
• Processes incoming/outgoing faxes and provides clerical support.
