Job summary

UCFS Healthcare in Norwich, CT seeks a Customer Service Representative to provide courteous service to clients, patients, visitors, and clinical staff. Responsibilities include intake support, scheduling across services, medical records tasks, and data entry in the EHR.

Must handle payments and coordinate with multiple departments in a fast-paced health center environment. Full-time schedule, 40 hours/week, with shifts including mornings and afternoons.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of medical office experience or 3 years in customer service.
• Access to transportation to UCFS sites as needed.
• Familiarity with EHR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and visitors in person or by phone.
• Follow check-in/out workflow to ensure exceptional service.
• Schedule appointments across Behavioral Health, Dental, Medical and other services.
• Maintain medical records: request, retrieve, file, scan into EHR; monitor releases of information.
• Enter demographics and insurance data into EHR; perform verifications and collect copays.
