Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in understanding hospital charges, insurance coverage, and available financial assistance.
• Evaluate patients’ financial situations and guide them through Medicaid, charity care, and other assistance programs.
• Work closely with insurance providers to verify coverage and benefits.
• Develop payment plans for uninsured or underinsured patients, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
• Explain billing statements, answer patient inquiries, and address discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation of patient interactions.
• Collaborate with the billing department, case managers, and social workers to optimize financial solutions for patients.
• Stay up to date with changes in healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and financial aid programs.
